“Depressed heroine sleeps her year away in satirical haze.”

This is one of my favorite literary fictions ever, about a girl so depressed she decides to sleep a whole year away with dangerous meds from a kooky psychiatrist, hoping to wake up feeling okay. I related so hard as someone with bipolar disorder, reminding me of my depressive episodes and the desire to sleep through tough times. It's a satire, poking fun at mental health treatment while asking interesting questions. Unlike serious mental illness stories, this makes a sad topic fun and comforting through representation. Overall, it was an enjoyable read that I loved immensely.
